- A mix of coffees from different sources that a roaster combines because the mix can taste better than any one part alone. Roasters also use blends to keep a coffee tasting consistent from batch to batch. Glossary
- Medium roast
- Medium brown beans with no oil on the surface, roasted through first crack and stopped before second crack. Medium roast is often called American roast. Glossary
- Washed process
- The producer strips the skin and pulp from the coffee cherry, lets microbes break down the sticky mucilage during fermentation, and rinses it off with water before drying the beans. Washed coffees tend to taste clean, with clear acidity. Glossary
